design for new places & new spaces

Details

Thank you for your interest in my art and design business.
My hand painted canvas rugs and wall hangings are designed to give you years of enjoyment.

My Process
Many of you have inquired about the process I use when creating a Canvas Rug or Wall-Hanging.
I paint on 18-ounce canvas with acrylic paint. The paint is then covered with 1 to 4 layers of polyurethane to increase the longevity of the artwork. The polyurethane also protects the canvas for durability and adds a waterproof finish. The canvas can be cleaned with warm soapy water and the edges are usually sewn on a commercial machine, so they do not curl or unravel.

Installation
My Wall-Hangings can be installed by using metal grommets which are permanently attached to the canvas or a channel can be sewn at the top and the bottom where wooden dowels, plexi glass rods, or metal rods can be installed to hang the piece to a wall. My Canvas Rugs are extremely durable and all of my clients who have pets are exceedeingly happy with the way they are made to last and how super easy cleanup is with all of the water, snow, mud, and dirt that can be carried into the house.

How I Price
Painted Rugs, Wall Hangings, or Canvas Screens range from $15.00 a square foot to $50.00 a square foot on average.

The final price depends on the size and the complexity of the design. Commissioned pieces are designed according to specific colors, samples and sketches provided to the client. If requested, a sample can be provided for final approval. This allows changes and adjustments to be made prior to final completion of the actual art piece.
